Inbali Iserles

Inbali Iserles is a million-copy bestselling children’s author. Her Foxcraft trilogy (2015, 2016 and 2017) has been published in 10 territories. Her award-winning feline fantasy, The Tygrine Cat (2007), was a Blackwell’s Book of the Year and one of The Independent on Sunday’s “50 books every child should read.” Inbali has also written for the New York Times bestselling Survivors series (2014, 2015) under the pseudonym Erin Hunter. Inbali writes fiction and non-fiction for younger children on subjects as diverse as undersea volcanos and the domestication of cats. She has recently published her first poetry collection for children, Poems for Our Planet (2025).

Inbali was educated at Sussex and Cambridge Universities, and was a writing fellow of the Royal Literary Fund at Cambridge University from 2020 to 2022. She continues to work with the Royal Literary Fund as a Bridge fellow on their schools programme. Her family is affectionately ruled by Jelly the cat and her benevolent sidekick, Michi the dog.
