Sally Cline is an award-winning fiction writer and biographer (of Lillian Hellman, Zelda and Scott Fitzgerald and Radclyffe Hall). Her 10th book is The Arvon Book of Life Writing : Writing Biography Autobiography and Memoir (published by A and C Black 2010, co-written with Carole Angier.) She and Carole are Series Editors for the next six volumes of Arvon books on different writing genres. She has just completed her 11th book, a novel called The Visitor. Formerly Director of the Writers' Pool Mentoring Scheme, she is now Judge and Mentor for the Arts Council Escalator Programme and a Royal Literary Fund Advisory Fellow. She is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, has been a Hawthornden writing fellow, mentors for the MA in Creative Writing at Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge, teaches at Arvon, holds degrees and masters from Durham and Lancaster Universities and was awarded an Honorary doctor of Letters for her writing internationally.
