Sally Cline is an award winning biographer and short story writer now writing her 9th book: the biography of Lillian Hellman and Dashiell Hammett. She is a Royal Literary Fund Advisory Fellow and Mentor, was Director of the Writers Pool Mentoring Scheme, and is judge and mentor for the Arts Council Talent Escalator programme.  She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a former Hawthornden Writing Fellow, teaches at Arvon, holds degrees and masters from Durham and Lancaster Universities, and was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Letters from Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge.
