Lesley Glaister is the author of 12 novels the latest, ‘You Should Have Been Mine’, is to be published by Tindal Street Press in 2010. Her novels have been translated into a number of languages including French, Spanish, German and most peculiarly, Korean. She won both a Somerset Maugham and a Betty Trask Award in1990 for her first novel ‘Honour Thy Father’ and was given the title of Yorkshire Author of the Year for ‘Easy Peasy’ in 1999. Lesley also writes short stories, several of which have been broadcast on Radio4, appeared in various magazines, newspapers and anthologies; and she was editor of an anthology of women’s stories for Tindal St Press. She had also written drama for stage and radio.
Lesley is an experienced teacher of creative writing at all levels, teaches on an M.A. in Writing at Sheffield Hallam University and is currently Writer in Residence at the University of Edinburgh, where she lives.
