Carole Angier is the award-winning biographer of Jean Rhys (1985 & 1990). Her biography of the great Italian writer Primo Levi, was published in the UK and the US in 2002 to critical acclaim.  Carole teaches courses on biography and autobiography at Birkbeck College, University of London, and (together with Sally Cline) at Arvon. She is working on Writing Biography and Autobiography for Crowood Press. In early 2008, Exiled Writers will publish her translations of poetry and prose from the Farsi, done together with the author, Hasan Bamyani.
