Louise Doughty

Louise Doughty is a novelist, playwright and critic. She has published five novels to date; Crazy Paving, Dance With Me, Honey Dew, Fires In The Dark and Stone CradleCrazy Paving was shortlisted for four awards including the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize and Fires In The Dark won awards from the Arts Council and the K. Blundell Trust.  She has also published a how-to-write book, A Novel in a Year, based on her hugely successful column for the Daily Telegraph's Saturday Review.  Her new novel, Whatever You Love, was published by Faber & Faber in June 2010.
She has also written five plays for radio and has worked widely as a broadcaster and cultural commentator.  She has been Chair of judges for the Orange Award for New Writers and the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize and in 2008 was a judge of the Man Booker Prize.
